Ronny Deila spotted scouting at Eibar

It seems that Deila made no room for rest after the win against Partick Thistle on Saturday as he travelled to Spain to watch Eibar vs Real Betis on Sunday.

Deila was spotted in the stands where he was there to watch Eibar beat Betis convincingly 4-0. There has been three different players mentioned who Deila could have been watching.

The first of these players is Sergi Enrich, one of Eibar’s strikers. Aged 25 years old, Enrich main position is as centre forward but can also play as secondary striker.

He has impressed so far this season, scoring 5 and assisting 6 times in 19 appearances. In his career, he has played 157 games, scoring 41 and assisting 15. He has spent his career so far in Spain, having been at Numancia, Mallorca, Alcorcon and Huelva.

The second player who Deila could have been watching is Borja Baston, another striker for Eibar. He is aged 23 years old and his primary position is centre forward and can also play secondary.

Like Enrich, Baston has also had a promising season so far, having scored 10 goals and assisted 1 in 18 appearances. In his career, he has played 145 games, scoring 55 and assisting 6. Baston has played for La Coruna, Zaragoza, Huesca, Murcia and most impressively Atletico Madrid.

The third and final player who Deila has been said to have watched is Aleksandar Pantic, who is a central defender for Eibar. He is currently on loan at Eibar from Villarreal until the end of the season.

Pantic is primarily a central defender, although he can play right back also. He has only played 14 games this season. In his career, he has played 103 games, scoring 1 and assisting 3 times. He has played for Córdoba, Rad and Red Star Belgrade.

I’ve said that Deila could have been watching any one of those players, when in fact he could have been and probably was watching all three of them.
